Responsibilities:

1. Academic Support:
2. Help students set academic goals and provide strategies for academic improvement.
3. Collaborate with teachers and parents to support students with special needs.
4. Career and College Counseling:
5. Guide students in exploring career options and planning for post-secondary education.
6. Assist with the college application process, including recommendations and interview preparation.
7. Personal and Social Development:
8. Conduct individual and group counseling to address social, emotional, and behavioral issues.
9. Develop programs to enhance social skills, conflict resolution, and character development.
10. Crisis Intervention and Support:
11. Provide immediate support during crises such as bullying, family issues, or mental health concerns.
12. Coordinate with external resources for additional support when needed.
13. Collaboration and Consultation:
14. Work with teachers, parents, and external agencies to identify and address student needs.
15. Facilitate professional development on student mental health and inclusivity.
16. Program Management:
17. Develop and implement a comprehensive counseling program.
18. Maintain accurate records and ensure program effectiveness through data analysis.
19. Ethical and Legal Compliance:
20. Adhere to ethical guidelines, maintaining confidentiality in all student matters.
21. Stay updated on best practices in counseling and education.

Qualifications:
Education: Master’s degree in School Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
Certification: Valid state certification/licensure as a School Counselor.
PEL: Professional Educator License
Experience: Prior experience in a school setting preferred, but not required.
