What You’ll Do:
- Deliver one-on-one and group counseling sessions to support students’ mental health, academic progress, and personal growth
- Lead school-wide initiatives that promote wellness, inclusion, and a positive school culture
- Guide students in academic planning, college readiness, and career exploration
- Act as a trusted liaison between students, families, teachers, and community resources
- Support crisis intervention efforts and provide immediate care and referrals when necessary
- Create a safe and affirming space for students from all backgrounds and experiences
- Use data-driven strategies to assess student needs and measure the effectiveness of counseling services
- Stay current on best practices in student support, trauma-informed care, and youth development
What We’re Looking For:
- Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling, or a related field
- Valid Florida Department of Education certification in Guidance and Counseling (K-12)
- Strong background in child and adolescent development, mental health support, and academic advising
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering a culturally responsive and equitable learning environment
- Experience with conflict resolution, restorative practices, or trauma-informed care is a plus
