Part Time School Counselor Job Opportunity

Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated Contracted School Counselor to join our district in Willis, TX. 

Position Details:

• Manageable Caseload
• Elementary and Middle School Students
• Part time
• Onsite

Caseload details will be discussed at the time of the interview directly with the district.

State Requirements:

• Education: Obtain a master's degree in counseling or a related field (minimum of 48 semester credit hours) from an accredited institution recognized by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. 

• Educator Preparation Program (EPP): Complete an approved school counselor preparation program, which includes a supervised internship in a school setting. 

• Certification Exam: Pass the TExES School Counselor Exam (Exam #152) with a minimum score of 240. 

• Application and Background Check: Submit an application for certification through the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and complete a fingerprint-based criminal background check.
