Blazer Jobs is proud to partner with a dedicated school district in Fort Smith, Arkansas to fill a full-time Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Educator position for the 2025–2026 school year. This is a fully onsite role working 1:1 with a student who communicates using American Sign Language (ASL).
Position Details:
Dates: August 8, 2025 – May 13, 2026
Schedule: Full time, school hours
Caseload: 1:1 student assignment requiring ASL communication
Setting: Onsite in a public school environment
Pay: $45–$50/hour (based on experience)
Renewal: Based on performance and district needs
Daily Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction and support tailored to the student’s IEP and communication needs
Utilize ASL to facilitate instruction and engagement
Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and service providers
Track and document student progress, making data-driven instructional decisions
Support student in academic and social development across school settings
State Requirements:
Must hold an active Deaf and Hard of Hearing Educator Certification in the state of Arkansas
Must be fluent in American Sign Language (ASL)
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass school district background checks
