State and Federal Requirements:
Valid Texas Educational Diagnostician Certification
Master’s Degree in Special Education, Educational Psychology, or related field
Knowledge of Texas Education Agency (TEA) eligibility criteria and IEP regulations
Background check and fingerprint clearance
Authorization to work in the U.S.
Job Description/Duties:
Conduct formal and informal assessments to evaluate students for special education services
Interpret cognitive, academic, and behavioral data to inform eligibility decisions
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and educators on IEP development
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district regulations regarding timelines and documentation
Serve as a resource for staff on intervention strategies and instructional supports
