Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Educational Diagnostician to join our team for the 2025–2026 school year. This role involves conducting comprehensive evaluations to identify students' educational needs and collaborating with educators and families to develop effective support plans. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering an inclusive educational environment and ensuring that all students receive the support they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Comprehensive Evaluations: Perform assessments to determine students' eligibility for special education services, including administering formal and informal evaluations.
- Collaborate with Educational Teams: Work closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff to interpret assessment results and develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide Recommendations: Offer strategies and interventions to support students' academic and behavioral development.
- Maintain Documentation: Keep accurate records of evaluations, meetings, and communications in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in educational diagnostics and special education.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Certification: Valid Louisiana Educational Diagnostician Certification.
- Experience: Minimum of three years of experience as an Educational Diagnostician or in a comparable special education role.
- Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
