Diagnostician Special Education Teacher | Houston, Texas

Key Qualifications:

• Current Texas Educational Diagnostician certification (required)
• Extensive experience conducting evaluations and participating in the ARD process within Texas public schools
• Strong understanding of state and federal special education regulations and compliance
• Demonstrated ability to manage a middle school caseload effectively
• Commitment to in-person work, 40 hours per week, at a designated campus
• Capacity to collaborate well with ARD Specialists, educators, and families
• Successful completion of district-required fingerprinting/background check prior to start

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct educational assessments and diagnostics for middle school students
• Prepare detailed evaluation reports and share findings with ARD committees
• Participate in ARD/IEP meetings, contributing expertise and recommendations
• Ensure all evaluations and documentation meet district, state, and federal guidelines
• Collaborate with teachers, campus ARD Specialists, and support staff to implement individualized education plans
• Maintain thorough, organized records and manage a dynamic caseload efficiently
• Serve as a resource for families and staff, advocating for student needs and facilitating communication
