Looking for an Educational Diagnostician for Upcoming School Year (K-12)

Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
School Year: 2025–2026
Position Type: Full-Time | On-Site
Pay Rate: Starting at $50 per hour (based on experience)

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Educational Diagnostician to join a school team in New Orleans, LA for the 2025–2026 academic year. This is a full-time, on-site role serving a K–12 caseload, focused on conducting assessments and supporting the development of effective educational programs for students with exceptional needs.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive educational evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services

• Interpret assessment data and write formal diagnostic reports

• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and assist in developing appropriate Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student learning and accommodations

• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all state and federal regulations

• Provide consultation on instructional strategies, academic interventions, and progress monitoring

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Assessment, or a related field

• Active Louisiana Educational Diagnostician Certification (or eligibility to obtain)

• Extensive knowledge of evaluation instruments, IDEA regulations, and special education processes

• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills

• Previous experience conducting assessments in a school setting preferred
