Educational Diagnostician – Middle School | 2025-2026 School Year
Location: Atlanta, GA
Job Type: Full-Time (37.5–40 hours per week)
Caseload: 6th – 8th Grade (specifics discussed during interview)

Blazer Works is partnering with a well-established school district in Atlanta, Georgia, to hire a skilled and committed Educational Diagnostician for the 2025–2026 academic year. This position focuses on supporting middle school students through comprehensive evaluations, strategic interventions, and collaborative planning to meet their academic and developmental needs.

This opportunity includes the potential for renewal based on performance and district requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct formal educational evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services.

  • Analyze data to support the development of appropriate Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

  • Collaborate with teachers, school teams, and families to implement learning strategies tailored to middle school students.

  • Support students with learning disabilities, behavioral challenges, and other exceptionalities.

  • Stay informed about current practices and legal requirements in special education assessment.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Assessment, Psychology, or related field.

  • Valid Educational Diagnostician certification/license in Georgia.

  • Prior experience with middle school populations preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
