English as a Second Language (ESL) General Education Teacher | Blue Springs, Missouri

This contract opportunity is located near Blue Springs, MO, and calls for an experienced General Education or ESL Teacher who is passionate about working with elementary-aged students from diverse backgrounds.

Youll primarily guide English Language Learners (ELL) across grades K-5, supporting a caseload of just over 30 students at a range of English proficiency levels. Missouri evaluates progress annually using the WIDA ACCESS test, with a goal for students to achieve a composite score of 4.7 to exit the ELL program. Some students may also qualify for additional special education support. The position includes structured small-group instruction, collaborating and coaching classroom teachers, and program management responsibilities on Wednesdays.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Missouri K-12 ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) or ELL (English Language Learners) certification required
• Experience with elementary ELL or general education preferred
• Strong understanding of language acquisition and WIDA ACCESS assessment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide daily (4x/week) group ELL instruction at each grade level, K-5
