English as a Second Language (ESL) General Education Teacher | Canonsburg, Pennsylvania

Make a difference as an ESL Teacher in a long-term substitute role serving multiple schools in the Fayette and Washington County areas. In this full-time, onsite assignment, youll support students from diverse backgrounds, helping them develop English proficiency while fostering their academic success. The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through December 2026, with a possibility of extension depending on staff return dates.

Your commitment will ensure continuity in high-quality instruction for English language learners across several school districts. This opportunity is ideal for a dedicated and compassionate educator with the flexibility to commute within both counties.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid and active Pennsylvania Program Specialist ESL Certification (required)
• Teaching experience in General Education and/or as an ESL Teacher strongly preferred
• Ability to commute daily to service schools located in Fayette and Washington counties
• Strong interpersonal skills and a student-centered teaching philosophy
• Proficiency in developing lesson plans and adapting instruction for English language learners
• Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging ESL instruction based on district curricula and language development best practices
• Assess students English language skills and track progress
• Collaborate with general education staff to support academic achievement for English learners
• Maintain documentation and communication with school administration and families
• Foster a welcoming classroom environment that promotes multicultural understanding
