Math Gen Ed Teacher - Gretna, LA

Youll work full time (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday), following the school calendar, in the greater New Orleans area.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid and active Louisiana Department of Education teaching certificate is required (temporary authorizations and in-progress credentials cannot be accepted).
• Proven experience teaching general education math at the high school level preferred.
• Ability to complete time-sensitive district credentialing, including a background check, drug screen, and fingerprinting.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Flexible, adaptable, and ready to work in different school settings as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, standards-based math instruction to high school students.
• Develop, implement, and assess lesson plans that cater to a diverse range of learning needs.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and participation.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and administrators to promote the overall academic achievement of students.
