What You’ll Be Doing

As a school-based ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher in Harvey, LA, you will play a vital role in helping students with limited English proficiency access the curriculum and succeed academically. You’ll deliver targeted language instruction, collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive learning, and develop language-rich learning environments that respect and celebrate students’ cultural backgrounds. Your support will help students build confidence, communication skills, and academic success in their new language.

Qualifications and Licensure

To be considered for this position, candidates must hold a valid Louisiana teaching license with an ESL or ESOL endorsement. Experience working with multilingual learners in K–12 settings is strongly preferred. Ideal candidates are passionate about language acquisition, culturally responsive teaching, and student advocacy.
