What You’ll Be Doing

As a science teacher in Harvey, LA, you’ll play a vital role in helping students develop an understanding and appreciation of the scientific world. You will design and deliver standards-based lessons in life, physical, or earth science (depending on grade level), conduct engaging experiments and labs, and create a classroom environment that fosters inquiry and exploration. Your instruction will promote scientific literacy, encourage problem-solving, and equip students with skills for academic and real-world success.

Qualifications and Licensure

To be considered for this position, candidates must hold a valid Louisiana teaching license with a science endorsement appropriate to the grade level. Experience in K–12 science instruction is strongly preferred. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic, inquiry-driven educators who excel at creating interactive and inclusive science learning experiences.
