Your Impact as an English Teacher

In this role, you’ll guide students in the development of literacy, communication, and critical thinking skills. You’ll design and implement lessons aligned with Louisiana’s English Language Arts standards, foster a love for literature and self-expression, support differentiated learning, and collaborate with colleagues and families to support student success. Your classroom will be a place where ideas are explored, voices are heard, and learners are empowered.
 

Required Qualifications – Louisiana

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field

  • Valid Louisiana teaching certificate with an English or ELA endorsement

  • Knowledge of state standards and best practices in ELA instruction

  • Must meet district-specific background and fingerprinting requirements
