Your Impact as a SPED Teacher

In this role, you’ll provide individualized instruction to students with a range of disabilities in inclusive and self-contained settings. You’ll write and implement IEPs, collaborate with general educators and service providers, use data to guide interventions, and advocate for student growth in both academic and social-emotional domains. Your classroom will be a safe, structured, and inspiring place for students to reach their full potential.
 

Required Qualifications – Louisiana

To be eligible for this role in Louisiana, applicants must have:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field

  • Valid Louisiana teaching certificate with a Special Education endorsement

  • Knowledge of IEP development and implementation

  • Ability to manage a diverse classroom with care and flexibility

  • Must meet district-level background and fingerprinting standards
