Your Role
As an English teacher, you’ll help students strengthen their voice—both on the page and in the world. You’ll plan engaging lessons, foster critical thinking through reading and discussion, and support students in developing strong writing and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging English Language Arts instruction aligned to Louisiana standards
Create a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
Track academic progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
Collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff
Qualifications:
Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate with English or ELA endorsement
Experience working with high school students preferred
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Passion for literature, writing, and student growth
