Gen Ed Teacher - Harvey, LA

Key Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana DOE teaching certificate required (TAT or TA certifications not accepted)
• Bachelors degree in Elementary Education or related field
• Prior experience delivering general education curriculum in an elementary school setting preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Willingness to complete drug screening and fingerprinting for district requirements
• Ability to clearly demonstrate readiness to begin teaching promptly

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver effective, standards-based instruction to elementary students
• Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of students
• Maintain accurate records, attendance, and communicate students progress with families
• Foster a supportive, inclusive, and positive classroom culture
• Collaborate with grade-level teams and school staff to align on instructional strategies and student support plans
• Participate in required professional development and adhere to the school district calendar

Enjoy a full-time schedule, working Monday through Friday for 35 hours each week (seven hours per day and a half-hour lunch break, unpaid). The assignment is set to run through the end of May 2027, providing the opportunity to build meaningful relationships and leave a lasting educational impact.
