ESL Gen Ed Teacher - Kenner, LA

This full-time role involves 35 hours per week, ensuring you have consistent days with students and ample planning and collaboration periods.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Louisiana Department of Education Certificate required (candidates must already be fully licensed; TAT or TA are not accepted)
• Previous experience or strong interest in General Education and/or ESL instruction
• Comfortable working with diverse student populations (exact age groups and caseload will be determined)
• Passion for fostering language development and academic success
• Committed to meeting all district credentialing requirements, including background screening and drug testing

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction in general education and/or ESL classrooms according to the districts curriculum and guidelines
• Assess student progress, adapting lessons to meet the needs of English learners at various proficiency levels
• Collaborate closely with colleagues, families, and support staff to optimize student outcomes
• Integrate innovative teaching strategies and resources to promote language acquisition and content mastery
• Maintain routine documentation and communication as required by the school district
