ESL Teacher in Liberty, MO

Make a meaningful impact as an educator working with a diverse group of English Language Learners across grades K-5 in a supportive elementary environment. Youll facilitate student success for about 30 learners at varying stages of English proficiency, using the Missouri WIDA ACCESS assessment to guide progress and achievement. Key Qualifications:

• Holds valid Missouri K-12 ESOL or ELL teaching certificate
• Demonstrated experience or training in general education and/or ESL classrooms
• Strong understanding of WIDA ACCESS testing and proficiency scales
• Ability to differentiate instruction for students with a range of academic English skills
• Comfortable collaborating with classroom teachers and adapting support for students who may also qualify for special education services
• Organizational skills for program management and record-keeping
• Willingness to coach, mentor, and provide resources to staff on ELL best practices

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead instruction for small ELL groups (one per grade level, K-5) across four days per week
• Utilize dedicated Wednesdays for managing ELL programming, documentation, and classroom teacher coaching
• Monitor students progress using Missouris WIDA ACCESS assessment and modify instruction to match evolving language proficiency needs
• Collaborate actively with school staff to support ELLs academic and social-emotional growth
• Develop and adapt materials for a range of proficiency levels, ensuring access to curriculum for all learners
• Address the needs of ELLs who may be dually served by special education
