ESL Teacher in Mckeesport, PA

A fulfilling contract opportunity is available for an experienced ESL Teacher to support students across multiple school districts in Southwestern Pennsylvania. This long-term substitute position begins as soon as possible and is expected to continue through December 2026, with the potential for extension based on staff needs.

In this full-time onsite role, youll play a crucial part in ensuring English Language Learners have access to high-quality instruction and tailored support. The role will serve schools in both Fayette and Washington Counties, so candidates must be comfortable commuting to these locations as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Pennsylvania Program Specialist ESL Certificate is required
• Prior experience teaching in K-12 settings, with a strong background in ESL and General Education highly desired
• Confidence and ability to travel between specified school districts in Fayette and Washington Counties
• Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment for diverse learners

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging ESL instruction to students in accordance with district and state standards
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to support language acquisition
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to address students academic and linguistic needs
• Maintain accurate records, including student assessments and learning plans
• Participate in professional development and staff meetings as required by the districts
