Position Overview:
We are seeking a committed and qualified General Education Teacher to join a vibrant K–12 school community in New Orleans, LA, for the 2025–2026 academic year. The teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in core academic subjects, promoting student engagement, and supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of students in a diverse educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards and school curriculum
Deliver instruction in subjects such as English, Math, Science, and Social Studies (based on assignment)
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, social, and emotional needs of students
Create and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
Use data to assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and school staff to support student success
Communicate regularly with families regarding student performance and classroom updates
Participate in school-wide activities, professional development, and team meetings
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behavior
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field required
Valid Louisiana teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain before the school year begins)
Experience teaching in a K–12 setting preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
Commitment to educational equity, culturally responsive teaching, and inclusive practices
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented school environment
