Hourly Pay: $39–$44/hour (commensurate with qualifications and experience)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a committed and qualified General Education Teacher to join a vibrant K–12 school community in New Orleans, LA, for the 2025–2026 academic year. The teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in core academic subjects, promoting student engagement, and supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of students in a diverse educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards and school curriculum

  • Deliver instruction in subjects such as English, Math, Science, and Social Studies (based on assignment)

  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, social, and emotional needs of students

  • Create and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment

  • Use data to assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly

  • Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and school staff to support student success

  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student performance and classroom updates

  • Participate in school-wide activities, professional development, and team meetings

  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behavior

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field required

  • Valid Louisiana teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain before the school year begins)

  • Experience teaching in a K–12 setting preferred

  • Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills

  • Commitment to educational equity, culturally responsive teaching, and inclusive practices

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented school environment
