Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled General Education English Teacher to join our team in New Orleans, LA. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in English Language Arts to middle or high school students. This role requires a strong commitment to fostering literacy, critical thinking, and communication skills in a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver effective English Language Arts lessons aligned with state and district standards

• Teach reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and literary analysis

• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students

• Create a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes academic success

• Assess student performance through a variety of formative and summative assessments

• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student growth

• Participate in school-wide initiatives, meetings, and professional development opportunities

Requirements:

• Valid Louisiana teaching license with English or ELA certification 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field

• Strong classroom management and instructional skills

• Ability to build positive relationships with students and families

• Experience teaching English in a general education setting (preferred)
