ESL Teacher - New Orleans (High Demand)

Compensation: $44–$49 per hour (based on experience)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and passionate ESL Teacher to support K–12 students for the 2025–2026 school year in New Orleans, LA. This role is ideal for an educator committed to helping English language learners (ELLs) develop the language skills needed for academic and social success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct ESL instruction to students in both push-in and pull-out models
• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with language proficiency standards and academic content
• Assess student progress and language development through formal and informal assessments
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to support language acquisition and inclusion
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and service delivery
• Communicate regularly with families to support language development at home

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, TESOL, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
• Valid teaching certification with ESL endorsement or certification (Louisiana certification preferred or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience working with English language learners in a school setting
• Strong understanding of second language acquisition and culturally responsive teaching practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Contract Details:

• Full-time or part-time opportunities available
• 2025–2026 school year
• Hourly pay: $44–$49 based on experience
