Louisiana State Certification Requirements:

To qualify, candidates must have:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Secondary Education, or related field

• Louisiana teaching certificate with a Secondary English endorsement 

• Praxis exams successfully completed per state requirements

• Background and fingerprint clearance required by the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE)

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards

• Foster reading, writing, and analytical skills across grade levels

• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records

• Collaborate with colleagues and families to support academic success

• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
