What You’ll Be Doing

As a school-based ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher in New Orleans, LA, you will play a vital role in helping multilingual students thrive academically. You’ll deliver targeted English language instruction, collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices, and design learning environments that value each student’s culture and identity. Your work will empower students to develop language proficiency, confidence, and academic achievement in a diverse and dynamic educational setting.

Qualifications and Licensure

To be considered for this position, candidates must hold a valid Louisiana teaching license with an ESL or ESOL endorsement. Prior experience supporting English learners in K–12 schools is highly preferred. Ideal candidates are passionate about equity, language acquisition, and fostering inclusive classrooms.
