English as a Second Language (ESL) Gen Ed Teacher - New Orleans, Louisiana

The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year in late May 2027, following the standard school calendar.

Qualifications and Required Experience:

• Active Louisiana Department of Education (DOE) teaching certificate (Temporary Authority to Teach (TAT) or Teaching Authorization (TA) not accepted)
• Experience as a General Education or ESL Teacher preferred
• Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills
• Flexibility to adapt to varying caseloads and multiple school assignments
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and academically rich environment
• Successful completion of district-required drug screening and fingerprinting, along with standard credentialing

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in general education and ESL to meet the diverse needs of students
• Assess student progress, adapting instruction for language development and academic growth
• Collaborate with colleagues and school staff to provide a supportive learning atmosphere
• Maintain accurate student records and ongoing communication with families and stakeholders
• Uphold school policies and foster a safe, positive classroom climate
