Key Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Department of Education teaching certificate required (temporary authorizations or in-progress licensure are not accepted)
• Solid background in general education science instruction at the high school level
• Ability to adapt to varying caseloads and potentially multiple school assignments
• Exceptional classroom management and communication skills
• Must complete district-mandated drug screening and fingerprinting, as well as agency credentialing requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging science curriculum tailored to high school students in accordance with district standards
• Foster an inclusive learning environment that meets the needs of diverse learners
• Assess student progress and provide individualized feedback to encourage academic growth
• Collaborate with other educators, staff, and administration to support student achievement
• Participate in school meetings, professional development, and parent conferences as required

This full-time opportunity includes a standard 35-hour workweek (Monday through Friday, 7 hours per day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch) aligned with the school calendar. Assignments may involve one or more campuses, and specific caseload details will be confirmed upon placement.
