Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a dedicated and qualified 2nd Grade General Education Teacher for a full-time position in a reputable school district in the Oak Forest, IL area.

Position Details:

• Location: Calumet City, IL

• Grade Level: 2nd Grade

• Schedule: Full-Time, School-Based

• Contract Term: Current school year, with potential for renewal based on performance

Requirements to Apply:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field (Master’s preferred)

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsement for elementary education

• Ability to pass a background check and fingerprint clearance

• Recent classroom teaching experience preferred

• Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and implement engaging, standards-based lesson plans for 2nd grade students

• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

• Conduct assessments and monitor student progress

• Collaborate with fellow teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure academic success

• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance
