We're seeking a passionate Middle School Social Studies Teacher who’s excited to bring history, geography, civics, and culture to life for students during the 2025–2026 academic year. In this pivotal position, you’ll help students develop critical thinking skills, explore diverse perspectives, and become active, informed citizens. Responsibilities include crafting impactful lesson plans, maintaining a supportive and engaging classroom environment, tracking student progress, and working collaboratively with families and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement standards-based lesson plans aligned with school curriculum and state standards.
• Teach core topics such as U.S. history, world history, civics, geography, and economics.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies to engage students and differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
• Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, tests, projects, and formative assessments.
• Integrate technology and primary sources into instruction where appropriate.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student performance and behavior.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and participate in grade-level or department meetings and professional development.
• Maintain accurate records, including attendance, grades, and behavior reports.
• Uphold school policies and expectations for student conduct and academic integrity.

Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or Higher
ADE Teaching Cert
Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
SEI or ESL highly preferred
