English Language Learner (ELL) / ESL Teacher | Portland, IN

Blazer Jobs is actively seeking a licensed English Language Learner (ELL) / English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher for a contract position in the Portland, Indiana area. This is an onsite teaching opportunity for the 2025–2026 school year, serving students in grades 7–12.

Position Details:

• Job Title: ESL / ELL Teacher

• Location: Portland, IN (onsite)

• Grade Levels: 7th–12th

• Schedule: Full-time, standard school hours

• Contract Type: 2025–2026 School Year

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct English language instruction to students in grades 7–12

• Adapt lessons and materials for English language learners based on their language proficiency levels

• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to implement appropriate instructional strategies

• Monitor student progress and contribute to Individualized Language Plans as needed

• Communicate with families to support student language development and academic achievement

Qualifications:

• Valid Indiana teaching license with an ESL/ELL endorsement

• Previous experience working with English language learners in a school setting

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Familiarity with WIDA standards and assessments preferred
