Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified English Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year to serve students in Sarasota, FL. The successful candidate will bring a strong command of English Language Arts (ELA), a commitment to student success, and the ability to foster a positive and engaging learning environment for a diverse student population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging, standards-based English Language Arts lessons aligned with curriculum goals

  • Foster critical thinking, reading comprehension, and effective writing skills among students

  • Adapt instructional methods to meet the diverse learning needs of all students, including English language learners and students with special needs

  • Monitor and assess student performance through formative and summative assessments

  • Create a classroom culture that promotes student participation, inquiry, and a love for literature and communication

  • Collaborate with school staff and administration to ensure educational best practices and alignment with academic goals

  • Communicate regularly with families to support student growth and academic achievement

  • Participate in school events, professional development sessions, and faculty meetings

  • Maintain accurate records, including grades, attendance, and student progress reports

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field required

  • Valid Florida teaching license with endorsement in English (or eligibility for certification)

  • Previous classroom teaching experience preferred

  • Strong classroom management and instructional planning skills

  • Demonstrated ability to build meaningful relationships with students and colleagues

  • Commitment to continuous professional growth and equity in education

  • Ability to integrate educational technology to enhance instruction
