Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic General Education Science Teacher to join our school-based team in Virginia Beach for the 2025–2026 academic year. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in science instruction, a passion for student success, and the ability to inspire and engage learners in a K–12 setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based science lessons that align with district and state curriculum

• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs, including English language learners and students with IEPs

• Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments and use data to inform instruction

• Create and maintain a classroom environment that fosters inquiry, critical thinking, and a love of learning

• Incorporate technology and hands-on activities into lessons to enhance student understanding

• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families to support student learning and development

• Participate in school-based meetings, professional development, and parent-teacher conferences

• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, or a related field required

• Valid  Virginia teaching certification in Science or ability to obtain certification

• Previous teaching experience preferred, particularly in a school setting

• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills

• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered instruction

• Must meet all district and state employment requirements, including background clearance
