Schedule: 30 hours per week | Part-Time
Setting: Onsite | K–12 Academic Environments
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Educational Interpreter to support deaf and hard-of-hearing students in educational settings. Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, the interpreter will provide highly specialized language interpretation and translation services in classrooms and school-related activities. This position is a vital part of the educational team.
Provide sign language interpretation in academic and social settings
Facilitate effective communication between students, staff, and peers
Support instructional goals by ensuring accessibility for DHH students
Collaborate with general education and special education staff
Maintain professional conduct and confidentiality at all times
RID certification or equivalent
OR
Minimum score of 4.0 on one of the following assessments:
EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment)
ESSE-I/R (Educational Sign Skills Evaluation – Interpreting/Transliterating)
NAD/ACCI (National Association of the Deaf/American Consortium of Certified Interpreters)
