Position Overview:
A school district in Allentown, PA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide healthcare support to students and staff in a school environment. This role is ideal for a nurse with experience working with children or in a school/clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide basic first aid and daily health care to students

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments

• Support students with chronic health conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and epilepsy

• Maintain accurate health records, medication logs, and immunization data

• Assist with state-mandated health screenings (vision, hearing, etc.)

• Respond to health-related emergencies in a calm and professional manner

• Collaborate with families, staff, and healthcare providers to support student health needs

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current and valid LPN license in the state of Pennsylvania

• Current CPR/AED certification

• Strong communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills

• Experience with school-age children preferred

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must pass background check and required clearances

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with IEP/504 health-related supports

• Knowledge of FERPA and HIPAA regulations in educational settings
