Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Anoka, MN

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced LPN to provide 1:1 nursing care for a 7th-grade student requiring specialized support. Youll play a vital role in helping this student thrive during their school day by managing healthcare needs and ensuring a safe learning environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Active and valid Minnesota LPN License (required)
• Current CPR/AED certification
• At least 2 years of experience working with pediatric patients or in a school or home health setting
• Proficiency in tracheostomy care and suctioning, as the student uses a trach tube
• Willingness to ride the school bus with the student to and from school as needed
• Strong commitment to providing attentive care to students with complex medical and/or developmental needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver continuous nursing support during school hours, following the students individualized healthcare plan
• Monitor, manage, and document tracheostomy care and suctioning procedures as needed
• Accurately record all nursing interventions and observations daily
• Collaborate effectively with Health Services staff, school personnel, and the students family to ensure seamless care
• Remain attentive to changes in the students health status and respond appropriately
• Uphold confidentiality and comply with all relevant health and education regulations

This contract position follows the assigned school calendar, with a consistent Monday-Friday schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
