Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Kalama, WA

An exciting contract opportunity is available for a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to make a meaningful impact in an educational setting, supporting students for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time role involves working onsite for one hour each afternoon, with the potential for increased hours as the students stamina improves. Youll work closely with a student who has a tracheostomy, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the school day.

Key Qualifications:

• Active LPN/LVN license in Washington State (required)
• Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations is highly valued
• Proficiency and confidence in tracheostomy care is essential
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with students, staff, and families
• Ability to adapt to evolving needs and schedules

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one nursing support to a student with a tracheostomy during school hours
• Monitor students health and promptly respond to any needs or changes
• Administer prescribed treatments and maintain thorough records
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a supportive environment
• Adjust care as the students needs develop, with the possibility to increase hours based on progress
