Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a qualified and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time role supporting elementary school students in school districts in the Plano, TX area. We are actively interviewing experienced candidates who are passionate about student health and eager to contribute to a collaborative educational environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to be eligible for this position, including:

• Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing

• Current CPR and First Aid certification

• Previous experience working in a pediatric, school-based, or clinical setting preferred

• Ability to pass a background check and fingerprinting as required by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and local school districts

• Compliance with TB testing and immunization records, per district policies

Key Responsibilities:

As a school-based LPN, responsibilities typically include:

• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed

• Monitoring student health and responding to medical emergencies

• Providing care for students with chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, asthma)

• Maintaining accurate health records and documentation

• Communicating with parents, staff, and medical professionals regarding student care

• Supporting Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 Plans, as applicable

• Promoting a healthy and safe school environment
