Blazer Jobs is proud to partner with a reputable school district in the Plano, TX area to hire a dedicated and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time position within a special education school setting for the 2025–2026 school year.

We are seeking a compassionate nursing professional who thrives in educational environments and is committed to supporting the health and well-being of students with special needs.

Requirements:

Candidates must meet all state and district requirements to be considered:

• Active and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing

• Current CPR and First Aid certification

• Ability to pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting, per Texas Education Agency (TEA) regulations

• Up-to-date TB test results and immunization records (as required by the district)

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience (school-based or pediatric experience preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to high school students in a special education setting

• Administer medications and perform medical procedures per students’ healthcare plans

• Respond to medical emergencies and manage chronic health conditions

• Maintain detailed student health records and documentation

• Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to support student success

• Ensure compliance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and health plans
