School Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Rowland Heights, CA

This full-time, onsite contract position near Rowland Heights, CA, is ideal for a compassionate nurse who thrives in a collaborative educational environment. Key Qualifications:

• Current, active LVN license in California
• Valid CPR/BLS certification
• Previous experience working with school-aged children, ideally in a 1:1 capacity
• Demonstrated expertise in seizure protocols and administration of emergency medication
• Comfort and professionalism with toileting/personal care support
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Enjoys a routine that includes riding the school bus with the student

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 care and supervision for a 5th grade female student throughout the school day
• Monitor and manage epilepsy/seizure protocols, including administration of emergency medications when necessary
• Assist with toileting and personal care, respecting student dignity and privacy
• Support student safety on the school bus and in the classroom
• Maintain detailed health records and collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school health staff

The weekly schedule varies slightly, with start times at 6:30 AM and end times ranging from 3:30 PM to approximately 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. This position allows you to play a significant role in a students daily success and well-being.
