Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Full-Time | Tampa, FL | 2025–2026 School Year

A fantastic school district located in Tampa, FL is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the team. In this role, you will provide essential support and services to students, helping to foster academic achievement and personal growth. You will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure each student receives the appropriate care and instruction.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support and medical care to students based on individual needs and IEP/504 plans

• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and district policies

• Support students with chronic health conditions and medical devices (e.g., diabetes, asthma, G-tubes)

• Monitor student health status and respond to health emergencies

• Document nursing care provided and maintain accurate health records

• Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support student development and well-being

• Participate in IEP or 504 meetings and contribute to health-related planning

• Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

Qualifications:

• Active Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the Florida Board of Nursing

• Current CPR and First Aid certification required

• Experience in school settings or working with pediatric populations strongly preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

• Familiarity with common pediatric health issues and school-based health protocols
