Orientation and Mobility Specialist Position- Now Hiring - Full Time

Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated and experienced Orientation and Mobility Specialist to partner with our trusted school district in Alvin, TX. This is a full-time, school-based contract role for the 2025–2026 academic year, with strong potential for renewal based on performance and district need.

Orientation and Mobility Specialist
Location: Alvin, TX
Schedule: Full-Time | 2025–2026 School Year
Starting Rate: $40/hour (Depending on Experience)

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Orientation and Mobility or a related field

• Current O&M Specialist certification (ACVREP or state-recognized credential)

• Experience working with students who are blind or visually impaired

• Previous school-based experience preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students in safe and independent travel techniques

• Conduct orientation and mobility evaluations and assessments

• Collaborate with TVIs, educators, families, and support staff

• Develop and implement individualized O&M plans

• Maintain timely and accurate documentation and reports
