Orientation & Mobility (O&M) Specialist

Location: Española, NM
Start Date: August 7, 2025 – End Date: May 22, 2026
Schedule: Full-Time | 35 Hours per Week

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate O&M Specialist to work with students who are blind or visually impaired in a school-based setting for the 2025–2026 academic year. This is a full-time, onsite role based in Española, New Mexico.

Position Details:

• Assignment Duration: August 7, 2025 – May 22, 2026

• Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday

• Caseload: Details forthcoming – will include students requiring O&M support for safe, independent navigation in school and community environments

Requirements:

• Certification as an Orientation & Mobility Specialist (COMS)

• Active New Mexico licensure or eligibility

• Experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred

• Ability to develop and implement individualized mobility goals based on student needs
