School Occupational Therapist - Aurora, Colorado

Key Qualifications:

• Hold or actively apply for a valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license; applicants must provide proof of application if not yet certified.
• Experience working as an Occupational Therapist within a school setting is highly preferred.
• Strong ability to collaborate with educational teams, teachers, and families.
• Commitment to fostering independence, improving life skills, and enhancing student participation.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted occupational therapy services to students with varying needs, supporting both IEP and 504 plans.
• Develop and implement individualized interventions to address fine motor, sensory integration, and daily living skills.
• Conduct student assessments and contribute to the development of educational goals.
• Document progress and participate in IEP meetings as a valued member of the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide consultation and training to school staff and caregivers to promote generalization of skills.
