Occupational Therapist (OT)
Location: Bel Air, Maryland
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract
A dedicated and student-centered school district in Baltimore, MD is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) for the 2025–2026 school year. This full-time, school-based role offers an exciting opportunity to work with K–12 students, helping them build the skills necessary for academic achievement, independence, and full participation in school routines and activities.
The OT will collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to deliver therapeutic interventions in an inclusive and accessible educational environment.
Provide individual and group occupational therapy services to students in grades K–12
Conduct evaluations and develop treatment plans tailored to student needs
Develop and implement measurable goals as part of students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with IEP teams
Address areas including fine motor development, self-care, sensory integration, and classroom access
Offer consultation to teachers and staff on classroom modifications and strategies to support student needs
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of services and progress
Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Current Occupational Therapist License issued by the Maryland Board of Occupational Therapy Practice
Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
Must meet all state and federal requirements for practicing in a public school setting
Previous school-based experience preferred
Knowledge of special education processes, including IEP development
Strong skills in communication, collaboration, and professional documentation
