Occupational Therapist School Setting in Bernalillo, NM

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
• Experience supporting students with a range of disabilities in a school setting
• Confidence working across age groups from early childhood to transition-aged students (3 22 years)
• Adaptable to changing caseloads and school sites as needs arise
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to independently manage a dynamic schedule and prioritize student needs

Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based OT services in accordance with IEPs
• Assess, plan, and implement interventions for students with various disabilities
• Collaborate with special education teams and families to support student progress
• Conduct evaluations, maintain documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
• Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment, accommodations, and classroom modifications
• Support seamless transitions as caseloads and sites change throughout the assignment
