Occupational Therapist School Setting - Birmingham, AL

Embark on a rewarding contract assignment providing vital occupational therapy services to students across multiple school sites. Youll collaborate with educational teams to support student success throughout the academic year.

Your Qualifications:

• Active Occupational Therapist license issued by the State of Alabama
• Experience supporting students in school-based settings preferred
• Ability to travel between four school sites as part of an itinerant role
• Proven communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with students, staff, and families
• Strong documentation and time management abilities
• Demonstrated adaptability and a genuine passion for working with school-aged children

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative OT services to a caseload of approximately 50 students
• Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and participate in IEP meetings
• Travel between multiple school sites as scheduled
• Maintain accurate and timely records, session notes, and progress reports
• Engage in collaborative problem-solving with educational teams
• Offer training and resources for faculty and parents as needed to promote optimal student outcomes
