Occupational Therapist School Setting in Bristol, CT

Embark on a rewarding contract role as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) serving students from Pre-K through 12th grade across a forward-thinking district near Bristol, CT. This full-time, district-wide assignment provides an opportunity to deliver impactful therapy services while collaborating closely with dedicated education professionals.

Assignment Details:

• Full-time contract, beginning as soon as possible and extending through February 2027
• Coverage for a maternity leave, with high potential for extension though not guaranteed
• 77.5 hours per day; final schedule to be confirmed by the district
• Serve a diverse population of students district-wide, addressing a variety of needs

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Active Connecticut Occupational Therapist license, or COTA license/certification (CT DPH License & passing NBCOT exam)
• Previous school-based experience is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work with students of varying ages and needs
• Reliable transportation is essential
• Commitment to completing a temporary leave assignment with understanding of the potentialbut not assuredextension

Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students individually and in groups
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEP-driven treatment plans
• Document student progress, adapting strategies as needed to enhance participation and independence
• For COTA candidates, provide services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Travel between campuses as required
