School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT)

We are seeking a dedicated School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in Massachusetts. This full-time, on-site position offers the opportunity to work directly with students in a supportive educational environment.

Position Details:

• Location: On-site, multiple school district options
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, school hours (typically 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM, based on district needs)
• Start Date: ASAP or per the school calendar
• Duration: Full academic year with potential renewal

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students with diverse needs (e.g., sensory processing disorders, fine motor delays, autism, physical disabilities)
• Conduct evaluations, re-evaluations, and functional assessments to determine student eligibility and therapy goals
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, paraprofessionals, and multidisciplinary teams to support students' educational goals
• Utilize adaptive equipment and assistive technology as needed to promote student independence
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and federal regulations

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Massachusetts OT License (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
• Knowledge of IEP development, special education laws, and best therapy practices
• Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills
