Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist for a full-time contract position in Columbus, GA. This is a school-based role working directly with students, educators, and support staff to promote academic success through occupational therapy services. We are actively interviewing professionals who meet all local and state licensure requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of Georgia

• Must meet all qualifications set by local and state education agencies

• Previous experience in a school setting is strongly preferred

• Preferred experience working with special education students and their families

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Typical Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students to identify developmental, functional, and educational needs

• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans (IEPs)

• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services in school settings

• Support student success through activities to improve fine motor skills, coordination, sensory integration, and adaptive behavior

• Document services and maintain accurate therapy records

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals

• Participate in IEP meetings and other planning sessions

• Make recommendations for classroom adaptations and equipment as needed
